Sports massage is...
Equine Sports Massage can make all the difference
to the well being of your horse, his performance and your riding
achievements. It increases blood circulation in the muscle tissue,
reduces edema and minimizes scar tissue formation. By increasing
the blood flow, it increases the availability of nutrients to an
area and promotes removal of toxin and waste products.
It can be used as a preventive and maintenance
therapy, as well as a rehabilitation therapy following injury.
| Prevention
– less wear and tear on a horse translates to longer
lifetime performance as well as enhanced capabilities.
Maintenance – helps to prepare the
muscles for strenuous activities and it also helps muscle
tissue recover more quickly from these activities
Rehabilitation – helps speed up the
repair of any damaged muscle tissue. |
